Purple Rose Rosary — A deeper shade of elegance

This is the second rosary in my Czech glass collection.

While Dreaming Rose Rosary has the delicate charm of a rose touched with morning dew, this piece carries a quieter, more mature beauty.

Its rich shades of purple create a classic and elegant atmosphere, with a calm sense of dignity.

Roses, once again

The Our Father beads are delicate Czech glass roses.

They were among my favourite beads when I first began making rosaries, and I was delighted to use them again after many years.

The rose motif continues in both the centrepiece and the crucifix, making this a rosary surrounded by roses from beginning to end.

The beauty of subtle differences

At first glance, the purple beads may appear to be exactly the same colour.

In fact, they are not.

Like many Czech glass beads, their shades vary ever so slightly from one production batch to another. Some are a little deeper, while others are softer in tone.

Rather than separating them, I chose to bring them together.

Much like adding a touch of water to paint, these subtle variations create gentle layers of colour, giving the rosary a beautiful sense of depth while preserving its transparency.

Quiet elegance

As I looked at this finished rosary, one image came to mind.

A graceful lady.

Elegant, composed, and quietly confident.

If Dreaming Rose Rosary reminds me of a young girl, this one feels like a woman who has grown into her own quiet strength.

There is a gentle dignity to its beauty.

A familiar favourite, seen anew

This rosary also brings back some of the beads I loved using when I first began making rosaries.

Yet it is not simply a recreation of an earlier design.

The subtle harmony of colour, the quiet depth, and the overall balance all reflect the way I create today.

It is one of my old favourites, seen once again through the eyes of who I am now.
