Cat Mini Rosary — A Tiny Cat for Your Prayers

Cats have a wonderful way of finding their way into our hearts.

Perhaps they can find their way into our prayers as well.

That was the thought behind these three mini rosaries, each featuring a tiny cat carved from natural gemstone.

This collection includes:

• Lapis Lazuli
• Rose Quartz
• Dalmatian Jasper

Each mini rosary features a gemstone cat as the Our Father bead, making it a small companion for prayer and everyday life.

Inspired by a Beautiful Rosary

The idea began at my parish.

A fellow parishioner, who is also a cat lover, creates beautiful rosaries using the traditional Japanese Nagasaki knotting technique. One day she showed me a mini rosary made entirely with cat-shaped gemstone beads.

As a fellow cat lover, I couldn’t stop admiring it.

Not only were the tiny gemstone cats irresistible, but her delicate knotting was absolutely beautiful.

I even tried learning the technique myself…

Let’s just say I quickly discovered how much skill it takes!

Her work remains one of my inspirations.

Creating My Own Version

After that, I kept thinking,

“I would love to create something with those little gemstone cats.”

Rather than making the entire rosary from cat beads, I decided to let a single cat become the centrepiece.

Each mini rosary features one cat-shaped gemstone as the Our Father bead, surrounded by matching natural stones.

A large Miraculous Medal and a small cross complete the design.

Sometimes, one little cat is all you need.

Three Little Cats

Lapis Lazuli

Deep blue lapis lazuli creates a calm and timeless look.

Rose Quartz

Soft pink rose quartz is accented with two delicate Red Hematoid Quartz beads, adding a gentle sparkle without overwhelming the design.

Dalmatian Jasper

Dalmatian Jasper immediately reminded me of a spotted cat.

Paired with black onyx and two Tiger’s Eye beads, it became the most playful member of the collection.

A Mini Rosary for Everyday Life

These mini rosaries are designed to be carried with you.

The clasp allows them to be attached to a bag, pouch, or keyring, and you can easily add your favourite carabiner if you wish.

They are small enough to become part of everyday life—a quiet reminder of prayer wherever you go.
